Built on the solid foundations of 100 years of the Student Design Awards, RSA Spark has been designed to achieve even greater impact.

In this second workshop, you’ll grow your capabilities in care, curiosity and critical thinking as you’ll explore different perspectives and possibilities for your chosen brief.

Key takeaways from this workshop

  • You’ll start to think about who you should work with and what you can do to better understand your context and begin to create a map of your system’s human and non-human stakeholders.
  • At the end of the workshop you’ll have prepared yourself to further research with your community and learnt how you can use their feedback to create points of possibility – strategic points in your system where a small change can lead to significant impacts.

We encourage you to participate in or watch the workshops (which are all available on playback and are 20-40 minutes) and/or do the downloadable activities provided to help you develop your idea for RSA Spark (see resources pack below).

You can also earn a digital badge by attending or watching a workshop.

Claim your RSA Spark digital badge

As a reminder, everybody who attends or watches a workshop on playback and completes the two surveys will get a unique Explorer digital badge for each workshop. You will need to complete both surveys with your name so that we are able to issue the badges.

  • You can get an Explorer badge for each workshop you participate in.
  • At the start of the workshop, you will be invited to fill in the baseline survey. Please complete this when prompted.
  • At the end of the workshop, we will also ask you to fill in the end-of-workshop survey. We will only be issuing badges to participants who complete both surveys.

These surveys are designed to support you in identifying your capabilities and how they grow. The surveys are also an important way to give RSA Spark feedback and help us learn and improve.
