Democracy in Schools: A Call to Action

Fellowship Event 1 Comments

 -

Cornerstone Centre, St John's Church, Edinburgh

  • Higher education
  • Deliberative democracy

Fellows, friends and guests are invited to come together to discuss an ambitious new programme for young democracy in Scotland. We want to support young people in helping them shape the decision process, starting in their own schools and colleges.

The young deserve full agency in deciding society’s direction regarding sustainability, climate and the environment, the economy, social inclusion, social progress, education and equality - major challenges for the future. The future of democracy is in the hands of the young and needs the most positive drive we can give it.

Would you like to help shape the future for young people, working with the RSA, schools, colleges and other institutions to create a manifesto for a new democracy?

Together, we could make a meaningful impact across the country to address the issues that really engage young people.

We are looking for your input and support on a new, Scotland-facing RSA young democracy project, starting next term. Please join us, have your say and help the young of Scotland re-invigorate our democracy.

This event is open to both Fellows and non Fellows.

Doors open at 5.30pm for 6pm start.
