2020s Crises and Change

How do communities respond to crisis to shape their long-term future?

We are working alongside communities to understand how the challenges of 2020 can be turned into a chance for change.

This work is built on the RSA Future Change Framework and the RSA Living Change Approach, and supported by the National Lottery Community Fund.

In the moment of disaster, the old order no longer exists, and people improvise…

A community inquiry

We want to bring together the voices of local communities in Birmingham, Norfolk, and Edinburgh with national and global ideas for change.

At the heart of our work is a community inquiry to understand our:

  • learning from recent past experiences (what was)
  • present responses to crisis (what is)
  • long-term future aspirations (what might be).

We will be collecting and sharing insights and stories from the enquiry to challenge and inspire changemakers across the world.
