Guilty Feminist host, comedian and award-winning writer Deborah Frances-White talks to Greek economist and politician Yanis Varoufakis and award-winning filmmaker and author Raoul Martinez about his new documentary series In the Eye of the Storm - The Political Odyssey of Yanis Varoufakis.

Yanis Varoufakis famously resigned from the Greek government in 2015 after refusing to sign what he viewed as a fraudulent bail-out deal for an impoverished Greece. With original music by Brian Eno, this 6-part series takes us on a rollercoaster journey through Yanis's struggle to resolve the debt crisis in the most bankrupt nation in Europe, reveals fascinating insights into the workings of power, and explores hopeful solutions to the multiple global crises we currently face.

At the RSA, Yanis, Raoul and Deborah will take a deeper look at some of the key themes addressed across the documentary series, including the current trajectory of economic and political power globally; the paradigm shifts required to reshape systems, institutions and cultures at a time of democratic fracture and climate emergency; and the individual and collective courage it takes to imagine, build and sustain movements for justice and change.

In partnership with The Guilty Feminist.
