The Southern Policy Centre is an independent think tank and policy forum for central southern England. They are looking to increase the number of Associates who work with them and are keen to see if any RSA Fellows would be interested in this opportunity.

The SPC launched a couple of years ago and focuses on three key areas – public policy; open data and innovative forms of participation, with John Denham FRSA being one of the founders.

They work on individually funded programmes and each of these programmes is overseen by an Associate. Associates take responsibility for the development of individual programmes (which can be anything from a piece of research to running a seminar on a specific theme) and for identifying funding, though the SPC's reputation, expertise and contacts can help with the latter. Some of Associates regard this as a pro bono interest, others may take an honorarium and for others it is a remunerated part of a portfolio career.

The SPC could readily increase the number of Associates they work with and are keen to see if any RSA Fellows would be interested in this opportunity. The geographic area they work in is central southern England (broadly Dorset-West Sussex, Isle of Wight to Oxfordshire).
