A Lecture by Kim Charnley
Kim Charnley, Contextual Studies Lecturer at Plymouth College of Art, will deliver a lecture titled 'Artists as Autodidacts'. The lecture will focus on conceptual and post-conceptual art, exploring art as an arena within which it is possible to be an autodidact (a self-directed learner) avoiding institutionalised forms of knowledge.
Join us for this unique event taking place in St Saviours Hall, former library of Plymouth painter Robert Lenkiewicz. Lenkiewicz is widely celebrated as a self-directed learner and it is appropriate that this subject is explored in his study centre.
Tickets are free of charge but please book your place. Light refreshments will be available.
