Join us for our monthly RSA Fellows Mindfulness Network event as we explore the ‘beginner's mind’.
This event explores the concept of Beginner’s Mind, which reflects an attitude of openness, eagerness, and lack of preconceptions. This mental posture, relating to non-judgement and acceptance, opens one’s awareness without the prejudices, rose-coloured glasses or “red mist” that cloud clarity of awareness.
Fellows will look at the neuroscience of equanimity and engage in a couple of mindfulness exercises. This event will have interest for beginners and established mindfulness practitioners.
The aim of the RSA London Mindfulness Network is to engage, educate and inspire Fellows to practise mindfulness and empower them to mainstream mindfulness in their lives and communities. The network enables Fellows to access research, practice mindfulness together and work with a network of practitioners, teachers and Fellows to share practical interventions. An important goal of mindfulness is to create the conditions for the enlightened thinking and collaborative action needed to address today's most pressing challenges.
We will be holding monthly events throughout 2016 (with the exception of July & August). Further dates for 2016 to follow – please keep an eye out in your Fellowship newsletters.
Tea and coffee available on arrival. This is a free event but please do register so we know that you will be joining us.
