Ideas Aloud, hosted by RSA Essex

There will be plenty of time either side of the pitches for conversation and building new connections, and maybe even sparking the next wave of ideas.

How the evening will run

The evening will start at 6.30pm for drinks and networking. Welcomes and the start of the pitching will take place promptly at 7pm. Pitches will continue, with a short break in the middle, until 8.30pm when there will be further networking time until 9.00pm.

The event will take place at The Transition, in Chelmsford. It’s right by the mainline rail and bus stations, and the nearest car park is Fairfield Road which costs £1 after 5pm.

Pitching spaces

If you have an idea you’re working on that you’d like to share with a friendly crowd, gathered to support you to take it to the next stage, the list is being developed now. 

Ideas can be at any stage, the earlier the better. You‘ll have three minutes to give a flavour of your idea and up to three “asks” from the audience – you’ll get full details if you’re selected to pitch.

To help convince you, here are some quotes from some of our pitchers in November: “Good, supportive environment for early ideas”; “it was a very useful and rewarding experience that looks to have been a great help already”; and “It was a really positive step for us in moving forward with the next stage.”

If you don’t have an idea yet, never fear! We’re planning to hold these events quarterly and to keep the list continually open so that we can gather prospective pitches in-between each event.
