Join us for RSA Engage, Nottingham, to spark new conversations, meet new people, and discover ideas that have the potential to become a powerful source for social change. Everybody is welcome to join us at this event, held in collaboration with the new Learn in NG Festival.

In1754, William Shipley founded the RSA with a belief that the creativity of ideas could enrich social progress. Over 250 years later, weve taken inspiration and developed a series of events across the UK to engage with, encourage, and support people to turn their ideas into action.

At this event, a mix of projects on the theme of learning will be shared, followed by an opportunity to find out more from the people driving them forward and get involved. To kick the evening off, we’ll hear from Rosie Clayton who leads the RSA’Cities of Learning programme, a new approach for activating a grassroots, city-based, mass-engagement movement around learning and skills.

RSA Engage provides a brilliant platform to ignite, share and support ideas.

If you are working on a learning initiative or project that’s aligned with the RSA, and you want to share and seek support from an informed and connected audience, apply for a (three-minute) speaking slot.

APPLY TO SPEAK HERE-Applications close at 10am on Monday 21st October.

Support and advice for shaping your lightning talk and “call to action” will be available before the event. If you have any questions, contact Abigail Campbell, RSA Central Area Manager: abigail.campbell@rsa.org.uk.

Location: Nonsuch Studios, 92 Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham NG1 1EH

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE ENGAGE SERIES

What is RSA Engage?
RSA Engage is a series of 20 events hosted around the UK which provide a space for Fellows to make new connections in their area and enables us to showcase some of the most innovative Fellow-led projects that are having a positive impact. Whether you’re looking to find out more about the RSA, get involved with an exciting project, or to network with like-minded people, RSA Engage offers something for everyone.

What’s the format?
RSA Engage is a mix of three-minute project pitches and facilitated networking. Each pitch will finish with a call to action, asking the audience to share their skills and experience to help further their project. Between project pitches, there are short bursts of networking where you’ll be able to spark new connections and talk to the project pitchers about how you can support their work. RSA Engage is an interactive, standing event, though limited seating may be available.

Who can attend?
Our Fellowship events are free to attend, but due to their popularity we ask that you please register in advance by following the ‘Book Now’ link at the top of this page. We welcome non-Fellows who support the work of the RSA and those who are interested in finding out more about Fellowship.

If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let the team know: networks@rsa.org.uk. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.
