The current Covid-19 crisis is a defining event, not just for our planet and humanity but also for the world of work.

Decades of resistance to working from home have been overturned by necessity. Collaboration is taking place between very different organisations: Mercedes F1, University College London and UCLH are working together to make ventilators; and distilleries and high-end perfume houses are switching production to hand sanitizer. There’s a growing appreciation that those often paid the least are doing the work we most value at the beating heart of society.

The structures, systems, processes and relationships that had proved immovable barriers to changing how we work seem to have rapidly dissolved.

While this crisis is challenging, and for some so much more than others, it is also offering us great scope for change. We must seize the opportunity to gather the learning from these times to shape the emerging future of work.

This session will be focused on:

  • Gathering and sharing our learning from the adaptations we are seeing in our own organisations and the organisations we interact with

  • Considering how those insights can be used to bring value to the future of work

Taking Part in RSA Online Events
For our interactive online events, the RSA uses the platform Zoom. We have found it simple for participants to use while also providing the necessary functionality for an engaging online event.

To participate in the event, you will need to register for a ticket to receive the bespoke link to join. You will be sent detailed instructions via email closer to the event. Attendees will need to register for a free Zoom account and download their software. To understand more about how Zoom uses your data, please read their Privacy Policy in advance.

We record many of our online events. By attending this online event you accept that you may appear in RSA videos as a participant. Our intention is to use any recording of this event for learning purposes and to document the content of the discussion. Currently we do not have plans to share this recording publicly but may do so in the future.

If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let the team know: networks@rsa.org.uk.
