Can big business be our ally in solving some of the world’s most intractable challenges? Jon Miller and Lucy Parker visit the RSA to present a new framework of how and where big business can contribute to key global conversations, and in a positive and meaningful way.

Can big corporations add significant value to the world – beyond mere lip service and superficial CSR campaigns? Could they be our allies in solving some of the world’s most intractable challenges, or are they too in thrall to stakeholders and profit margins to be able to act in positive ways?

We hear a lot about the negative effects of big business, and the deleterious effects of unethical corporate behaviour are undeniable. But it seems increasingly  likely that the most effective way of creating change would be to find more ways to harness the power of big business for good, rather than simply fighting an unwinnable war against it.

Jon Miller and Lucy Parker visit the RSA to present a new framework of how and where big business can contribute to key global conversations, and in a positive and meaningful way.

Chair: Ian King, Business and City Editor, The Times.
